Read this before you switch
Orbit cannot import your flights. Not from YourFlights, not from anywhere — there is no importer yet. Moving a logbook across means typing it in.
YourFlights exports CSV — in its own format and in OpenFlights' — so getting a copy out is easy. Orbit cannot read either yet, so the export is a list to type from rather than a file to upload.
It is less work than it sounds: three fields per flight — where from, where to, and when. Orbit derives the distance, the hours, the countries, the continents and every milestone from those. The method for rebuilding a history is written up in full.
The free tier holds 15 flights, so you can find out whether you like it before deciding whether to carry the rest across.
Orbit and YourFlights, row by row

What YourFlights does better
- It imports CSV exports from Flighty, myFlightradar24, OpenFlights and more, and detects the format by itself. Orbit imports from nothing.
- It adds flights from a flight number or a boarding-pass scan, rather than an airport pair.
- Friends, a feed, photos and a web version — Orbit is a private logbook on one phone.
What Orbit does better
- You can install it on Android today. On 6 October 2026 YourFlights had no Google Play listing.
- All 8,801 airports live on the phone, and there is no account to make before you start.
- Nothing you log feeds a public map. YourFlights' community globe draws anonymised routes from every logged flight, whatever each flight's visibility.
Asked and answered
Is YourFlights available on Android?
Not on Google Play, as of 6 October 2026. Its FAQ mentions an Android app, but the site links only to the App Store and the Play Store has no listing. There is a web version that works in any browser.
Can Orbit import my YourFlights export?
No. Orbit has no importer yet, so a YourFlights CSV is a list to work from. Each flight needs three fields — where from, where to and when — and Orbit derives the distance, hours, countries and milestones.
How is Orbit different from YourFlights?
They do the same job on different phones. YourFlights is on iPhone, imports from other apps and has a social feed; Orbit is on Android, works offline from the first launch and keeps your logbook to yourself.
What Orbit works out for you
You enter an airport pair and a date. Everything below is computed from the airports’ own coordinates — which is why entering a flight takes a few seconds rather than a form.
Start with the flights you remember.
The long ones first — they carry most of the distance and most of the milestones. Free for your first 15, no account needed, no ads on any tier.
