# ATR 72-600

The ATR 72-600 is a twin-turboprop regional airliner built in Toulouse by ATR, the Airbus–Leonardo joint venture. It usually seats about 70 passengers four abreast and is used on short routes and from small airports, where it burns much less fuel than a regional jet.

### Lao Airlines flight QV301  
During a go-around in bad weather on approach to Pakse, the aircraft crashed into the Mekong River; the Lao investigation cited the crew's failure to fly the published missed-approach procedure.

Shortly after take-off from Taipei Songshan, one propeller feathered uncommanded and the crew then shut down the working engine; the aircraft stalled and crashed into the Keelung River.
